"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

How Things Have ChangedUnbelievably crowded in Pisgah. It used to be that other than Looking Glass Falls, Pisgah was empty. No more. A nice hike with an outstanding view of Looking Glass Rock.

1994 ?OK, this seems silly ... but I visited this place back when I lived in South Carolina. Ah, the nostalgia :)

Route Climbed: Cat Gap/John Rock Loop Trail. Date Climbed: 07-30-2005I finally climbed this peak after avoiding it for one reason or another the past three years. It's a great mountain! If you're overnighting, there are many great campsites along the creeks or way up in the cove hardwood forests. The place is like a gigantic sponge, so there is no end of reliable water sources all around. Abundant wildlife, too.
The views from the cliff face of John Rock are spectacular. Best vantage point I've found for views of the western side of Looking Glass Rock.
