Re: Hell of a crevasseIt's a big crevasse in the upper part of the north flank of Barre des Ecrins. There is no chance to cross it without a ladder this year.

Re: Nice!Yes and no, it's the north face of Barre des Ecrins, which "feeds" the lower Glacier Blanc.
It's the last bigger crevasse before you have to cross the bergschrund/rimaye. Maybe at ~3.850m.

remembering mont blancit looks allot like the ladder on the mont blanc du tacul with a line of climbers wating to pass.
