The hike was so-so. I've never in my life seen so many ticks on one hike (but unfortunately it turned out we hiked in during the height of tick season)and tick season is heavily pronounced here. My wife and I had an enjoyable time scrambling up to the top and we actually did crawl out to that exposed rock in the picture. Not sure what we were thinking but we lived. Awesome views up top of all the surrounding mounds!

Worth the Bug Storm
A rare and wonderful taste of wilderness in Wisconsin. LOTS of mosquitos and ticks, but well worth it.
