Three different trails to summit
I did all three summit trails during this month. The round trip mileages are 8, 11, and 17. All trails are well maintained and pretty easy other than the long mileage. Great views from the top.
Here is a video guide showing info on all three summit trails:

Maiden Peak Trail
An easy hike up a very gradual trail. With the forest cover, if you do this early in the day you are basically in the shade for about 80% of the hike which is nice. The trail is open for mountain bikes, I did pass a group just starting up as I finished.

Memorial Day Maiden
Climbed with a friend starting from Odell Lake passing by the Rosery Lakes and intercepted Maiden Lake on decent. Snow started around 6000 feet. Views were great, sunny, and very comfortable on top. Spent 45 minutes on summit and then descended off the south side getting in some good glisades on our way back to camp.

Rain and snow
Came in from the east, passed Maiden Lake. Other than the rain and snow it was a wonderful hike. I definitely prefer the east approach.

Fall Hike
Hiked the Maiden Peak Trail. Sunny and very pleasant temperatures, but smokey in all directions from the summit due to one or more fires in the Cascades. I saw no one on the trail.

Winter Climb, Low Snow
Headed up from Gold Lake Sno Park took Maiden Peak Trail, camped just past the PCT. Day was cold and clear, had views of most of the Oregon Cascades.

Snowy heaven
Broke trail on snowshoes from the cabin to the summit on a cold, windy, viewless day. It was a great workout and I had a SWEET cabin (and a cold beer) to return to at the end of the hike.

Trail via Rosary & Maiden Lakes
We decided to make a weekend out of the hike and took the trail passing by the Rosary Lakes along the PCT to Maiden Lake, then up the Maiden Peak Trail from there. Overnight at Maiden Lake was a great time, and made it to the summit the next morning before heading out. Views from the summit were spectacular!
Late August is a great time to hike this area; always great weather (knock on wood), and no mosquitos.

Snowy Trail
Great day with Shelby, Dean, and Dennis. Trail gave way to snow about two thirds the way up and it was connect the blue diamonds the rest of the way.

December, 2003 - I did this on snowshoes, and had a pretty nice view of the snow-covered area around it. Especially cool view of Diamond Peak
It took me so long I had to return back to my truck under cover of darkness. It was pretty late by the time I got back to Portland.
August 22, 2005 - I hiked this one after starting the day doing The Twins. Hazy views, but definitely a cool mountain. Views from the sisters to Thielsen. Went on to do Diamond Peak the next day. I have done it twice and both times had the whole thing to myself.
Route Climbed: West trail Date Climbed: June 18, 2005
On a foggy, windy and almost rainy day, SP'ers Dennis, Tom, and Shelby made it up via the very snow covered trail (trail?) to the very foggy and snowy summit. COLD prevailed so we didn't stay long and the cameras were not very helpful. It had stopped raining when we started up the trail and held off until we were almost back to the vehicles.
I'll need to go back on a bright sunny day to see the view I missed but have been told about by so many others.
