Beautiful day on a beautiful trail. Left the forest fire smoke behind down on the front range. 2 hrs from parking lot to summit.

Fun snowshoe with Jesi. Really windy at the summit. Good snow on the approach.

St. Vrain and Meadow
Hit St. Vrain first then Meadow after hunkering down at treeline for a morning storm. The clouds dispersed quickly and we ascended Meadow. Beautiful views of Wild Basin.

Lonely Hike
Started at 4:30am from the St. Vrain Trailhead. Didn't see anyone up the whole trail. Encountered a moose just before getting to the base of Meadow Mountain. I was far enough away he didn't seem to notice me, so quietly continued on with my hike. Summited Meadown Mountain first which was a fun little scramble, then descended and made my way towards St. Vrain. Couldn't find the best route at first, but ended up finding something that looked like a route and made my way to the top. Came on back. Didn't see anyone, but it was a week day.
South Ridge from St Vrain trail. Unfortunately a very foggy mountains, only a few short glimpses of Longs, Meeker and Pagoda but mostly no views.

Saint Vrain Trail
Ugh, I felt like dog shit today (migraine coming on?) Sent Kiefer onto St. Vrain (I'd been up that peak a few years back in hideous conditions) and headed onto Meadow. My second time up in this area with no views - low clouds, snow, etc. Cold up top, but nice in the trees. Tons of snow up this way, happy for the snowpack, though it sucked to travel in (funky crust).

Hiked this after St. Vrain. Crusty snow conditions made for a long day. Sun never even came out. Hiked with Sarah Simon. ;o)

Saint Vrain Trail
CMC hike. The weather blew. Literally. It snowed for most of the day, and it was very windy at the saddle and the summit. It was difficult to maintain balance on the talus. There was one hiker who had trouble with the elevation, so he remained at the saddle while we went to the top. We couldn't see much of anything thanks to cloud cover and falling snow. We took a few pictures, then headed on over to Saint Vrain Mountain.

Snowshoe ascent
Quite steep hike up through the snow only to meet ferocious winds at the saddle. Beautiful view of Wild Basin from the summit. I couldn't stand the wind for long, so quickly headed back.

Add-on
Had to lug myself up this after St. Vrain. It was too present not to climb it at the time. Nothing too strenuous after a shared approach with St. Vrain. Felt strenuous after a good long day hanging out above treeline. Not a cloud in the sky, so no hurries, even in midafternoon.
