Another striking photoIt takes a lot of work to get a picture like this because your peaks are usually remote. Thanks for your efforts, again!

Re: Another striking photoRight now she is making cute squeaking noises and batting a ball around at my feet. Little does she know she is due at the vet for shots in 50 minutes. I kind of wish a stray dog had shown up on my doorstep so I could take it places, but that didn't happen.

Re: Another striking photoLife is like that. Sometimes, it throws curve
balls at us, and we end up striking out ..
Kinda like this man ..
Kudos to the Kitty.

I know where...this shot was taken from. Cool angle. Everytime I see these pics it's motivation to get back up there. Also interesting that the Uinta's upper rock strata, layered like in this pic, is composed of 1-2 billion year old sand dunes. Sorry Judy, just the nerd in me trying to get out from time to time.
Congrats on POTW!

Re: I know where...Thanks! I think it is cool how the different mountain ranges in Utah have such different appearances. Just think, in a few more weeks there will be snow up there.

Re: I know where...We really are lucky to live here! Incredible place to live. Funny you mentioned the snow, I hit Lone again via Jacob's this morning. On the way down the last mile to the trail head, the gambel oak is already starting to get some color... I'm really hoping we get some decent snow this year.

Re: I know where...You guys ARE lucky !
In Arizona, the only thing starting to get
some color is the "splat" mark on my leg
after swatting another mosquito.
Unfortunately, the vegetation where I live
doesn't turn color until late November.
By then, it's time to slap another turkey
into the oven ... with stuffing, of course!
