Fantastic

Our beautiful Coast Range! How far north is this from Vancouver 1-2 hours near the Tantalus range?

thanks

James, Athelstan is located 160km N of Vancouver as the eagle flies (60 km NW up the lillooet R from the town of Pemberton in fact). The Tantalus Range is actually located near Squamish, 80 km to the south of photo.

How would

you get to this area? From Pemberton or is the access quite hard?

Re: How would

The hardest part I think would be locating the trailhead but yes you go in from Pemberton via Upper Lillooet FSR and Salal Creek. The "trail" along Salal Creek is more of a rough route over very rocky flats with a bit of bushwhacking and can be challenging during high runoff but is well worth it. Check Bivouac. This is kind of a medium telephoto shot taken from a ridge above Athelney Pass at the head of the valley. I'll post a wider angled one soon.
