From green canyon
We came up from Green Canyon and followed the Mt Elmer trail all of the way back to the pass, almost to Fudd Peak, and then we traversed the ridge over to Jardine. Coming down we decided to head straight for the trail coming down the main ridge. If I were to do this again I would definitely consider going straight up the ridge from where the trail enters the Jardine bowl, instead of going all of the way around to the pass. With our variation, I got 10.6 miles with 3,650ft of vert

Jardine and Flat Top
Scurried up here with my father in law and brother in law. Started at 5:00 a.m. We quite enjoyed the views from atop Jardine. I used my PeakFinder app to figure which of the Uinta Mountain peaks we were looking at from afar. We could clearly see Gilbert, Kings, Tokewanna, and Lovenia. The scramble from the trail to the peak is very fun.

Summer day
The original plan was Mt Elmer from Birch Canyon Rd. After trekking through too much snow on the way to the saddle I called it a day and did Mt Jardine instead. No regrets, it's a fun trail to the top and you can see tons of evidence of avalanche prone areas.
If you do this early in the year bring some sandals, there's many stream crossings and some don't have a convenient bridge.
Other than two people I saw within the first hour I had the entire area to myself. Couldn't believe I was out there alone on such a nice day

Mt. Jardine
I did this via the Smithfield Dry Canyon route (trail was covered in vegetation). I went to the summit of Flat top first and then over to Jardine. There was a faint trail and it was really slick in spots. The final push to the summit involves some scrambling.

Cool Peak
I came up Dry canyon and climbed Flat Top. Then I saw that Jardine was less than a mile away so I climbed it too. The summit ridge is pretty rugged. I got caught in a thunderstorm on my way down.

Green Canyon
I climbed Mount Jardine from Green Canyon. It was cloudy in the morning but the weather improved in the afternoon. I wasn’t sure what to expect since this area is often overlooked. It turned out to be a great day and I recommend climbing this mountain. There was snow above 9,000 feet. From the summit, I could see all the way from Doubletop Mountain to Logan Peak.
