"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Simple & breathtakingThough this is not difficult, it is a steady climb. There is a nice picnic table in front of the Friendship Tower to enjoy with the family or a loved one, and take a breather before climbing the tower - the only place to get a view since the tower is surrounded by ponderosa pines, as well as aspen, birch and oaks. It's like being embraced in God's creation.

RooseveltMade it before a large storm came in. It has a nicely built tower on the summit in memory of Teddy.

A short but scenic hikeReally liked the tower, as well as the views of Spearfish Peak, Custer, Peak, Terry Peak, and more.

Hiked up some time in May 2002The Friendship Tower appears to have been restored, as it was in poor shape back when I visited.

ExcellentGreat peak insofar as history goes. Friendship tower is really cool, too. Didn't find a BM, just the tower.
