The Slides from North to South  Sucess!

The north slide was somewhat slick (the morning fog never lifted until I got to the bottom of the 2nd slide on the south). This was much easier than Huntington ravine, because there's not much choice for route finding.

Tripyramid Loop  Sucess!

Up the North Slide, around and down the South slide. Great fun climb. Amazing views of the valley from the top of the slides. Finished quicker than I expected to I shot over to Tecumseh to climb that and get some great views of Tripyramid.

Tripyramid Loop  Sucess!

Up the north slide, across the three peaks, and back down the south slide. The theme of the hike was bad weather with just enough rain to make north slide tricky and just low enough overcast to obscure any views from the top.

Route Climbed: up North Slide

Went halfway up the north slide, pretty snowy and icy, but turned back b/c it got to scary and dangerous without a partner or rope.

Sabbaday Brook Trail  Sucess!

The day was raining which made the scramble/slides area tricky. The fool killer got us too. Too bad my friend ani hadn't read the amc trail guide informing us of this "false trail" so im a fool but i wasn't killed. Gained all 3 summits over 2 days 1 night. nice little campsite at the saddle between north and middle

Sabbaday Brook Trail  Sucess!

Summitted the North and Middle Peaks from Sabbaday Brook Trail. The falls are quite nice at the beginning of the Sabbaday Brook Trail and are a must see.

whee  Sucess!

I felt really bad walking by a girl cussing out her boyfriend at the base of the slide. The slide, it turns out, wasn't her idea. I walked right up having a great time, and she just stared at me, exasperated.

Route Climbed: north slide (approach via Livermore Tr from Waterville V) Date Climbed: 4 Dec 2005  Sucess!

Climbing the North Slide in early December was not my brightest idea ever. The slide (one mile) took us three hours. Descended via Scaur Ridge (a cakewalk) rather than risk any delays on the South Slide.

This slide is much more difficult than the Flume Slide, and MUCH more exposed.

Route Climbed: North Slide Date Climbed: January 2000  Sucess!

An expedition style assault on the North Slide of Tripyramid was planned and we took a full day to climb the slide in crusty snow conditions. A great beautiful line in the winter.

Route Climbed: Sabbaday Brook Trail out (I forget the other trail name) Date Climbed: 8/13/05  Sucess!

Nice easy hike in and then rapid ascent to the peaks. Lots of sign of heavy runoff and that sort of thing, so I can only imagine what it would be like in the spring to have to cross raging streams and that sort of thing. The peaks had a lot of trees on them, but there were lots of occasions for good views. The loop out to Middle Peak is nice and doesn't add too much time to the day. We came out on Sabbaday Brook Trail, which was a really good idea. We stopped at the water for a while to cool off and wash off the mud. Definately a fun hike. (I'm planning to do it again and continue to the third peak and then over to Pasaconaway and Whiteface.)

Wow! Great ski! Views seem like they are better in the winter due to slightly less trees. Alone on the summit. Thanks to Steve and Liz.

Route Climbed: Livermore->Tripyramid Loop via N. Slide Date Climbed: October 9, 2004  Sucess!

Wow what a great loop. The Livermore Trail was all the more beautiful in peak foliage. The North Slide was a little tricky in places because the rock was damp from fog and dew. The climb up this slide is exhilarating. The top of the slide ends with a near-bushwack to the top--many scratchy branches along the last .2 miles. Somewhat limited views from the top. The South Slide was a mellow though steep descent.

NOTE: The North Slide Trail is the second slide trail off of Livermore Road. Do not be fooled by the South Slide Trail sign, which happens to list the distance to N. Pyramid. You want to come back this way. I would not recommend a descent on the North Slide Trail.

Route Climbed: North Slide Date Climbed: 12/28/03  Sucess!

A beautiful day, with temperatures a bit above freezing even on the summits. The slide is quite difficult, not for people who experience vertigo, but the exposure leads to great views.
