Years and years after it made my to do list, I finally payed my 1st visit to the Never Summer Range. Did a long, enjoyable loop on a perfect weather day over "Never Summer Peak", Lead Mountain, Hart Ridge, Mount Cirrus, Howard Mountain, Mount Cumulus, Mount Nimbus & Red Mountain.

6 Peaks
Daytripped with Lead Mountain, Hart Ridge, Mount Cirrus, Howard Mountain & Mount Cumulus.
From camp in Hitchens Gulch, climbed the unnamed peak east of Howard Mtn, Howard Mtn, Mt Cirrus, Lead Mtn, and 'Never Summer Pk' with my friend Keith. I expected the traverse from Lead Mountain to the saddle between it and 'Never Summer Peak' to be class 2 and so was surprised to find the class 4 difficulties. Navigating that ridge was exciting. A herd of Bighorn Sheep resided at the saddle and along the slopes leading up to 'Never Summer Peak'.
