No Thoroughfare Canyon  Sucess!

December 30 2023

Justin Kuhn, Kimberly, Kessler, Shaylee, and I hiked to Devils Kitchen, then explored the Lemmon Squeezer Slots.

We then hiked up No Thoroughfare Canyon up past the First Pool and to the First Waterfall. There was some ice, but the waterfall is not flowing at this time.

All these hikes are only a few minutes from our house so we have done them many times.

April 16 2023

My dad, Shaylee, and I hiked No Thoroughfare Canyon up past the first pool and to the first waterfall. It was a nice hike and the waterfalls were flowing nicely.

March 27 2023

Before heading to work I hiked No Thoroughfare Canyon. I made it past the first pool and to the first big waterfall. Because of all the water and ice both were very spectacular, the most I have ever seen them.

April 14 2022

Kim and I hiked Lower No Thoroghare Canyon. We wanted to see the waterfalls while they were still flowing. We hiked past the first pool and waterfall and to the larger waterfall up canyon. Since they were flowing, it was quite spectacular.

December 16 2021

At night I hiked into lower No Thoroughfare Canyon. It was a little cloudy, but the moon was still bright.

September 14 2021

In the late evening, Kim, Shalyee, and I hiked the lower end of No Thouroughare Canyon. We also took a side trip to the "backdoor route" to Devils Kitchen.

February 10 2021

In the evening Shaylee, Kessler, Kimberly, and I hiked No Thouroughare Canyon from the bottom and to the first pool, which was dry. It was a nice hike.

September 13 2020

Kimberly and I hiked No Thoroughfare Canyon, top to bottom. It was a pretty canyon, but getting past the highest waterfall was a challenge. Last time we went around on the west side; this time we tried the east. The east route was definitely more of a challenge.

January 12 2020

In the afternoon, I hiked No Thoroughare Canyon from the bottom. I wanted to check out the falls so I could see if there was enough ice for climbing. There wasn't, but it was a beautiful walk.

At first it was snowing lightly, but the weather became a little clearer later.

March 14 2015

Shaylee, Kimberly, and I hiked and explored around the Devils Kitchen before heading up No Thoroughfare Canyon in Colorado National Monument. We hiked to the second waterfall and were lucky that they were flowing.

At the first waterfall, a rockfall hit Kim in the leg and gave her a big bruise and scrape. Since the weather was good and there were no people above us, it was probably caused by an animal.

Other than that, it was a really great hike.

Late October 2001

Kimberly and I did the entire canyon top to bottom. Kimberly was pregnant at the time and it was more strenuous than we expected.

Guntalkinblacksmith!  Sucess!

Spent the better part of the day bushwacking the willow and suprisingly deep snow! A fantastic canyon that was definitely worth the effort.
