Learning the ropes

Gray Wolf Peak was the setting for my Mountaineering 202 class, held by M.O.R.E here in Missoula. They packed as much knowledge, fun, and climbing as anyone could into a 3 day soiree set in the Mission Mountains. We hiked to Riddell Lakes, and roped our way up most of the S.E. couloir. The only thing preventing a successful summit was time, as everyone looked good and comfortable on the ropes. I hope to go back and finish Grey Wolf. If she'll let me.

Great day or weekend climb  Sucess!

Great views of the mission mountains! Great hike/scramble that could be done car to car in a day with a fairly early start. Fun little scramble area near the top of the peak. saintgrizzly provided a very accurate and descriptive route that led us to the top.
