Observation PointI hiked this with my wife and two daughters (aged 9 and 7). We all really enjoyed it. The scenery was great the whole time. Echo Canyon was my favorite part. It's really a spectacular trail, especially how it is carved into the cliff face. One of my all time favorite hikes in Utah.

Best in early springLate March is a fantastic time to hike this route, first part is a decent amount of climbing but its definitely worth it! Round trip time was about 4 1/2 hours.

Freeway trailsAs freeway trails go, Observation Point is by far my most favorite maintained trail in Zion National Park. Steep switchbacks, slot canyons, and stunning views! The first 1/3 of the hike is tucked up against the East side of the Main canyon and can be hiked later in the morning before the Summer Sun makes it's way over the canyon to heat things up.
