Garf, Grizz, and ‘Ray  Sucess!

Clockwise Garfield, Grizzly, and Ouray. The stretch from Grizz to Ouray is pretty good, interesting class 3, particularly the chossy lumpy formations that stretch to the saddle on both sides. Go as far as you can, then exit stage north into a little chute, stay right and it goes. With Matt.

Secluded  Sucess!

The road getting back there is atrocious and fun. Went straight up the ridge to the west summit then over to the higher east. Was quite steep with poor footing. Small bit of scrambling. Straight down from summit. No trails. Kinda fun. Crossed snow bridge over a creek to get back to road area.

Graham Gulch  Sucess!

Just a quick side trip en route to Aspen. Saw a bunch of deer in the forest. Nice views of Lackawanna.

Graham Gulch Loop  Sucess!

Went up Star from the Graham Gulch TH parking area then continued around the ridge to PT 12743 and Ouray. On the way back out made a side trip up PT 12542 for a nice 4 peak outing, 9 miles and 4800' round trip.

Ouray Peak  Sucess!

Parked at the start of the Mc Nasser Gulch Road. As I suspected, the trail to the ridgetop did not seem to exist. Went up the steep slopes first to the west summit of Ouray Peak , then to the east summit and finally to Star Mountain. Great Day.
