These shoes are built on a semi-flexed last for reliable performance, yet are comfortable for wearing all day. Stealth C4 rubber soles and rands give you the grip you need on the rocks, while dot- tread rubber on the heels provides traction when walking off. EVA cushioning in the heels offers a soft landing for bouldering dismounts. Dual pull-on loops and Velcro closures make getting in and out quick and easy. Padded, split tongues relieve instep pressure and allow a customized fit.

I've owned a half-dozen rock climbing shoes in my life, and these are by far the best. First, nothing beats Stealth C4 Rubber. This stuff must be alien technology. It will stick to anything. Second, these shoes are good for just about every type of rock climbing you could imagine. They're high performance enough for your hardest redpoints, but are comfortable enough for a long multi-pitch day. The heels have a unique tread that helps with traction when "walking down." The heels are also padded, which is nice when there's groundfall potential. I've bruised my heels more than once in other shoes when I've popped boulders. The only drawback to the heel design is that you can't really do precision heel hooks, but hell, how often do you really need a precise heel hook? Almost never.

I don't actually own a pair of these but I had the opportunity to demo them at this past annual Rock Fest in Leavenworth, WA. Unlike my current pair of shoes, these stuck to ANYTHING! I could literally place my foot anywhere on any rock hold or no hold and I was able to weigh down on it completely. The shoes themselves were unbelievably snug and COMFY! with extremely efficient velcro straps to ensure security. AND...the solid heel provided ample support on highball falls while bouldering. By far the greatest shoe I've ever climbed with.

Great shoe. I use these for multipitch trad routes, sport climbs, bouldering and the gym. The C4 Stealth rubber is the stickiest I've climbed in. Comfortable off the shelf. They are quite flexible so at times on small edges my feet get fairly tired.

I can honestly say that these are the most comfortable all-around climbing shoes that I am aware of on the market today. Not only are these comfortable, but they also perform well.

I had an opportunity to demo these by wearing the Five Ten Anasazi Velcro on one foot and the Five Ten Ascent on the other. The Ascent was just slightly more supportive than the Anasazi, with equal smearing capability, but the Ascent won hands down in terms of comfort. This is a shoe that you can wear all day long on multi-pitch routes or at the crags, and the cushioned heel makes these perfect for bouldering. They are even comfortable to walk in! I wish I had tried these on before I bought my Anasazi Velcros.

Note: These run larger than the Anasazi's. I wore an entire size smaller in the Ascent.

What's not to like about these? Great grip (I broke mine in on granite slabs in Yosemite) and incredible comfort. Awesome for the gym and for multi-pitch routes where a simple tear on the velcro brings sweet release and comfort in between pitches. Doesn't seem to be worse at edging or small-toed stances than my Scarpa Dominators so these have quickly become my climbing shoe of choice wherever I am. And, frequently I don't even realize I have my foot in a climbing shoe in these, they are really sweet and comfortable.

This is no doubt the most comfortable shoe on the market. I have worn these for 11 hours none stop on a large multi pitch route, and the comfort is amazing. These shoes are also very grippy without being to soft.

Ok so the heal doesn't allow great heal hooks, but what do you expect!

I bought these shoes about 3 years ago and they are now up for a resole. What can I say, I love these shoes!! They are hell comfortable!! They are great for any type of climbing from bouldering to sport to those long climbs - they stick to anything. The velcro is great for "quick release" and "quick slide on" ( I only buy climbing shoes with velcro!!). The only down side to these shoes is that they are not real great on the heel-hooks, but this has never bothered me. An out-of-this-world shoe and I highly recommend!!!

great shoe and great idea of padded heal. I got mine REALLY small and can only wear them for short climbs but they climb great (have other shoes for long all day trad stuff) very sticky rubber and great quality. would buy again Update: wow they stretched a bit and just molded to my feet and are super comfortable. My favorite shoe. I use them for gym training every week and also the local craig (devil's lake) if you can find them get a pair as you will not be disappointed for a shoe that can pretty much do it all.
