Product Description

Lightweight crampons for hiking and trail running
The Kahtoola® Traction System (KTS) fits over all types of common footwear — running shoes, hiking boots, snowboarding boots, ski boots, and more. Straps and quick-release buckles on both the toe and collapsible heel pieces make the KTS easy to adjust. Best of all, these durable crampons weigh in at a mere 19 oz per pair, so they won’t slow you down on snow and ice.And when you’re not wearing them, the KTS folds into a

compact package.

Price: $139

Experience

I've used these light crampons numerous times in Zion National Park.Being a member of the Zion National Park SAR Team, we have 8 sets in the cache for winter travel. They fit virtually any type of footwear, are flexible and the spikes are short so that they are stable when walking on the "dry". My understanding is that when they were first developed, a pair was used on a full ascent of "Everest". They are easy to adjust and very lightweight and compact. I swear by them.
