Excellent jacket
I bought this jacket in late spring 2009, and used it in some wet weather in Colorado the rest of the season. Working hard in it I stayed dry and comfortable. I didn't miss the pit zips (it has none). It fits well, and has all the features you would need for a summer alpine shell. It's a bit on the expensive side, though not when you compare it to some other high-end products of similar quality. With patience, you should be able to find this on sale for a very good discount. I did find that it is truly a summer jacket, as it is not cut to fit over a lot of bulky clothing. I wear a size large, 42" chest. With base layer and a thick fleece under it the sleeves were maxing out: any more layers under it and it would start to bind. I would suggest finding a place that carries RAB gear and trying it on for size before buying.
