Direct Route  Sucess!

On a beautiful, sunny Sierra day, I walked in on the PCT, keeping an eye on the summit of this peak until I was directly below it. Then up I went. This being the prime of the year for backpacking the PCT from Mexico to Canada, I enjoyed meeting a good fellow from Norway and a father and son from Israel among others. The entire trip though, I thought of Windsor Riley. Windsor was a dedicated mountaineer, supporter of this outstanding website, and the creator of this page. In all, he summited over 250 highpoints, created the pages for over 100, and shared an incredible collection of photographs. Windsor Riley, aka Noondueler, you are missed, you are remembered.

Scrambling around south of Sonora Pass  Sucess!

Part of a loop starting from Blue Canyon, up to Deadman Lake, up Leavitt and Leavitt West, over to "Latopie Peak" and "Pacific Crest Peak", and then down to Sonora Pass.

Easy bump

Traversed over on a multi peak day out of Sonora Pass. This peak is very easy to do as a side trip off the PCT.

On the Way  Sucess!

I climbed it on my way to Little Latopie and Latopie. Very nice views, and not much of a detour.

Nice little scramble  Sucess!

Got 10 people up to the summit. Great weather. A nice little scramble. We skated down the scree on the back side back to the PCT and hiked to Leavitt Peak.
