Informative hike
Made for a very educational hike and making it to the ridge offers some fantastic views of the canyon. The trail is nothing to tough, makes for fun day in the park.
I hitched a ride down there with a past geology professor who was take a class on a spring break field trip. This ment we had to stop constantly to look at the rocks and discuss the geologic processes of the region. However, I was more focused on hiking the canyon and less on the geology aspect which did not leave the lasting impression.
