Description
I'm looking for partners for climbing in the Mont Blanc Massif and Bernese Alps in the summer of 2006, from mid July to mid August. I have a plane ticket and will be arriving in Chamonix and leaving from there but other than that my climbing plans will depend on what partner/partners I find. My objective is to largely avoid normal routes on popular peaks and try for moderate technical routes in the AD/D range. Contigent on partners and conditions here are some of the routes I'm interested in:
Dent du Geant
A. Vert, Whymper Couloir.
Mont Blanc by the Italian, Brouillard or Brenva routes.
Matterhorn by Italian or Zmutt ridges.
Monch
Eiger by Mittelegi Ridge.

| I am interested in climbing the Matterhorn and or Wetterhorn this summer. I will be visiting my daughter in Germany Aug 5 to Aug 21. Your routes are a little more aggressive than what was planning but am willing to think about it. I have climbed 25 of the CO 14ers, and last year climbed Rainier via Emmons, Grand Teton via upper Exum, Longs via old cable route, and Pieco De Orizaba in Mexico solo and I currently lead 5.7 trad. I will be working in CA in June and plan to rent a car and climb Hood on the 18th and on the way back Shasta, for which I am looking for climbing partners otherwise I think I'll be OK by myself and everyone else that is up there.
My e-mail is c-devendorf@raytheon.com .

Thmue | AD/D mixed routes | | | Hello Michael,
I live in southern Germany. I am interested in Dent du Geant, A. Vert, Whymper Couloir. I plan to climb Mt.Blanc and Mönch during spring on ski. I climbed Matterhorn via Hörnliridge, but Zmutt ridge is certainly tempting. Eiger by Mittelegi Ridge i already climbed some years ago.
But i think there remain quite a lot of classical mixed routes
to team up.

| Would be very interested in meeting up and climbing. My dates can fit in with you - I'm looking for 7-10 days starting around the 15th. I've got no real ideas on routes, more a case of get there and see what's in. That said, I do prefer the quieter routes. If you're interested please contact. | Posted May 12, 2006 10:28 am |
