I'm thinking of putting together a small team (2 to 4 people) to attempt Cassin Ridge in June, 2008. Previous high altitude technical mountaineering experience is mandatory, as is climbing together well before the trip. I have a couple of prospective partners who have expressed interest but no one is yet committed. Potential team members should already know what this climb entails and the kinds of skill and experience needed. The plan would be to acclimatize on the West Rib (alpine style) and have time to wait for a good high pressure system before blitzing the ridge. Some Grade IV warm-up climbs from base camp are also a possibility. Plan on being in Alaska for a month.
