Description

American expat living in Chamonix ISO partners for high altitude vertical trad rock climbs.

(Please send email - not PM or replies here - so I don't miss your response)

Now mid-July and the project "Les Aiguilles" is shaping up nicely. I'm trad leading in the 5.9/5.10a range with a great deal of grunting and sweating and am pretty pleased with my first season on trad so far.

But there's much more left to do. "It's GO time." Are you up for it?

Most Wanted List - Rock
"Cragging not allowed"

  • Blatiere Red Piller (Nabot Lean, etc.)

  • Cordier Route, Grands Charmoz

  • Rebuffet, Midi South Face (third time a charm?)

  • Envers des Aiguilles and Refuge de Requin climbs

  • Tacul/Lachenal (Gervesutti Pillar, etc.)

  • Dru American Direct*

Most Wanted List - Alpine
Not the focus of the summer but some stuff that would be nice to tick off both the Rochefort Arete and the Trasverse of the Aiguilles (M -> Midi) as I do love alpine climbing too.

* = almost certainly not gonna happen but something to shoot for anyway!

I lead at Scottish winter Grade IV and have done stuff in the Arctic and am looking around for a partner in the Alps for a few days in early July. My plan was to bimble around on Monte Rosa for bagging potential and bivvying along the way but would happily swap lone lunacy for some grownup stuff elsewhere. 01593 721 768 petercarole.camster@virgin.net

I'll be in Chamonix for a couple of weeks start July.
My usual climbing suspects can't make it so i'm keen to hook up with folks for a few routes.
Climbed a number of times in Chamonix - mostly alpine rock with a few snow/ice/mixed routes over the years, eg - papillions ridge, south face midi, l'm, chapelle de la gliere, chere couloir, cosmiques arete...
