Description

I'd like to build a mountain somewhere near Toledo. I'd prefer at least 1000feet of vertical but 2-3000 would be ideal. Will need many volunteers to donate either fill material, land, and/or time to plan/maintain trails on the mountain. Tree planting help would be greatly appreciated as well.

All are welcome to join in the fun!

I have about a third of an acre that would be an ideal place to start building....

CRiedel2Mt Built in VA Beach

CRiedel2

Virginia Beach, Virginia built a "mountain" over an old dump site. It's called Mt Trashmore. Not much to it, but popular with the locals. Maybe I'll do a page on it before I leave the area, haven't been there yet though.

That's very ironic, we have a 'Mt Trashmore' of our own a little north of here in Michigan. Its official name is Riverview Highlands and is a small skiing area. When the wind blows just right it just reeks of garbage as immediately adjacent to it there is still an active landfill operation.

jrbouldinThe O-I building's vacant...

I was looking at possible routes up some of the buildings downtown once...that's as close as you're gonna get outside of the grain elevators.

You know, I spend a lot of time looking at grain elevators.... They would make an awesome recycling project if we could find one that's unused.
