Description

Looking to climb North Palisade in the Sierra Nevada mountains sometime in the first few weeks of September. Intent is to do it from the west side: Day 1, Start at South Lake trailhead, go over Bishop and Thunderbolt Passes, camp in the Palisade basin. Day 2, attempt the Clyde Variation (4th/5th Class). Day 3, hike out.

40 year old male, very fit, strong with backcountry/cross country/routefinding skills, beginning trad climber (5.9 gym climber/5.5 lead climber), but hungry to get better. Have climbed all California 14ers except North Palisade. Please let me know if you're interested. Haven't been able to find anyone in my friends network with the right balance of fitness, alpine ability, availability, gear, and desire.
