Over from Arrow
What a wonderful piece of alpine glory between Arrow and Pyramid. We caught the ridge lower down and wandered up what seemed like endless scree and boulders to get to the summit. It was worth it though and I could have stayed in that basin between the two peaks for a while. Totally stunning!

NE Ridge Variation
I got a late start because I had climbed Marion the day before and then moved camp to Bench Lake that morning. Explorer Pass didn’t look very inviting, so I took a chance on a steep, loose chute that I hoped would be a shortcut to the NE ridge. The top of the chute was at 36.9169, -118.4590. From the top of the chute, I climbed talus blocks to a point about 30’ NE of the12,160’+ saddle in the NE ridge. This is about halfway between peak 12,264’ and peak 12,421’. The shortcut wasn’t too bad, and it saved me the time and trouble of going over or around peak 12,421’. From there, I more-or-less followed the NE ridge up and back down.
Scurried over through increasing smoke w/ Tom Becht after climbing the grand NE ridge of Arrow. Would've had some grand views if the smoke hadn't blown in. Yuck...

From Taboose Pass
Over from Arrow Peak in the morning and up the west ridge, after spending 3 nights in from Taboose Pass. A very long day and back to Bench Lake in the evening. Perfect CA weather each day, bagging Striped, Goodale, Cardinal, Wynne, Pinchot, Arrow, and Pyramid during the trip. Hiked out the next day.
