Cloudless Sky
Started at 6:30am for Red Lake and then Steven's. A fun summit block, no clouds and views were fantastic. And the Summit register is gone.

Register Gone
We got faked out by the "peak" on the first ridge, before realizing we still had 700' up to go. Would not have found our way up without researching the "easy" route first. The wooden summit marker and summit register I have seen in other trip reports is gone...and yes, I was on the "true" peak :)

From Carson w/ Stevens
Easy climb up from the pass, snow was mostly firm and a bit blown off the ridges. Summit block is easy if you pass it to the right and climb a short chute on the far side (north) to an easy ledge on the back (west side).

Still quite a bit of snow of there this year. Super easy and fun.

NE Ridge
Planned to start at Crater Lake, but couldnt quite get my car all the way up Alpine Mine Rd. Little extra hiking but eventually made it to the NE ridge and proceded to climb it. Climbed the false summit first cause it looked higher, but eventually made it over to the right one and found the register. Snapped a few picture then headed for Stevens.

Great summit!
This was a fun outing with a couple great friends, Adam and Z. Very windy and exposed on the summit, but we did manage to find some occasional shelter. Nice scramble to the summit.

Carson Pass to Crater Lake
Skinned up from Carson Pass and skied off the summit ridge down to Crater Lake and the highway. Awesome powder skiing!
Ridge traverse from the Carson Pass PCT trailhead.
Climbed the false summit block first, then went and found the non-exposed route to the true summit.
Continued along the ridge to Stevens, then dipped down and took the TRT/PCT back.

Good Times.
Got a late start. I got stuck behind a wagon train and pioneers in Meyers and got stopped one mile form the trail head due to road maintenance at Carson Pass. We didn't start hiking until 11:30 am. We made it to the top pretty quickly and I did my first ever class 4 climb and I don't think I want to do it again. Shortly after getting to the top we got chased down by thunders storms coming at us from all directions. Good times.

fun!
Quite the enjoyable morning adventure! I'd wanted to do this one for years. Deciding to do something besides go up the lifts & down groomed runs @ Kirkwood, finally did this, from the SnoPark overnight lot. ~2:30 up & exactly 1:00 down. The true summit provided some short, fun, & exposed climbing on what seemed to be relatively solid volcanic stuff. Summit views were phenomenal, weather was great, & I had the whole place to myself (on the way up anyway). Need to get more accustomed to the ungroomed Sierra Cement so I can do more backcountry boarding! I surmise I'll do this one again.

Up the ridge.
Up the snowless ridge to the summit. Climbed the shorter, more southern summit first before I realized my mistake. Lots of skiers hiking up the dry ridge despite the fact that the mountain is virtually bare.
