"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Rincon Ridge TraverseClimbed Rincon Peak while traversing the whole Rincon Ridge from near FR 333 to Piedra Lisa trail. There is a relatively good trail along much of the ridge now, although some sections require a bit of off trail and scrambling. Saw a pack of Coyotes chasing a single deer high up on the mountain. Great views of the main Sandia Mountains!

Route Climbed: Piedra Lisa Trail (South Trailhead) Date Climbed: August 7, 2005It is a tricky peak to get to since it is so far away from the trail and overrun with cacti.
