Saintgrizzly, Mount Lincoln, East Face, 1978
Vern ascends the east face of Mount Lincoln, a Colorado Fourteener. We would climb many of Colorado’s mountains in winter conditions together. This particular route is hardly used any more in favor of the Decalibron Route, which enables climbers to climb all of the neighboring fourteeners in the area. Due to recent private property issues, this route sees little use any more. However, back then, Vern and I had no idea we were climbing a "fourteener." It was just one of Colorado's highest mountains, and climbing wasn't even "in vogue!"
