More fog
Intended to climb Ultener Hochwart and did so by hiking the detour to Schöngrubspitze. If I recall correctly, we thought we were on the east ridge of Hochwart while we climbed the westridge of Schöngrubspitze. Much fog and we were happy that we had atiny little window while descending, in which we could see the Hochwart east ridge ahead. Gave us back our bearings.

firn in early winter
a very warm day in February provided fine firn snow in the southern flank of the mountain. The ski tour with start at the southern end of the Castrin/Hofmahdjoch tunnel of the road between Ulten and Proveis is rather short and very popular, but quite steep in the upper part.
