So close and yet...
A small group of us hiked up as far as we could get. As the photos show, the "smokestack" formation would be a technical climb. But the "rock" is actually not rock at all, but some kind of crumbly natural composite - a guaranteed disaster. So we did not reach the highpoint. We did go as far as was reasonably possible, though.
