Nice picture!Looks much different than last year ... there was a lot more ice floating in the lake at that time. Here is a view from the other side of the lake: pea soup lake. -Jim

Re: Nice picture! You're right Jim it DOES look different. Would've been nice to see some icebergs floating around. Nice picture - you guys camped somewhere near the shores?

Re: Nice picture!Actually, we camped near Jade lake which is further down. We climbed up the gully at the upper end of Jade lake, and came out in the obvious notch in the center of your picture. Then we traversed around Pea Soup lake (to the left of your picture) and onto the glacier. It was a very cool way to approach the mountain! -Jim

Re: Nice picture!Definitely a more fun route I'd bet.
Looking froward to seeing your photos of the Granite Mtn. (and the other one) climb (and the long range ones of Daniel).

Re: Nice picture!Hopefully I'll post some pics on Friday. I still have to do the low-tech method of developing & scanning :)

Re: Nice picture! We were up there yesterday and this pic was identical to what we saw. However, just after putting my camera away for the descent down the talus, some icebergs calved off of the glacier. Neat. The bergscrund near the top was pretty awesome.

Re: Nice picture!Agreed - the shrund was very impressive! Lynch Glacier looks like a really spectacular route (worth a return trip). So which highpoint is on the list for this weekend Dean?

Re: Nice picture!Alas Radek, no highpoint this week. I'm heading for the Enchantments for the Larch show but will reclimb Enchantment and Cannon Peaks to get some updated pics. (weather permitting and if we can get a permit)
