short but steepIt’s not lengthy but you will feel the burn from this climb. Forty two minutes to the top and from there I set off for Graybeard.

Little Piney A.K.A. Stomping KnobSuch a beautiful trail, but extremely steep in places. There was couple views along the way that would be much better in the wintertime after the leaves have fallen. We saw 3 moonshine stills along the way! Hauling that stuff up the trail must have taken allot of effort and determination! This is no easy trail!

The Little Piney Trailpretty steep trail. it was nice to see the occasional pink ladies slipper along the summit ridge.

Most recent timeAbove is the date photos on the page were taken. I first traversed this peak in the summer of 1975 and still remember the pretty south summit from that trek. There was no trail in those days.
