Re: how funny...

Can't be sure, but I'd say Music Appreciation. This kind of lay back was all over the place. :-)

I thought you waz nekked

Marc,

In the small version that shows up in "What's New," you appear to be climbing a building in the buff.

You know - what happened in the 70s stays in the 70s, and all that ... >:)

Cheers,

Sarah

Nekked? Beender, dundat too. But, you put it best "what happened in the 70s stays in the 70s."

Thanks Sarah, :-)

I didn't notice the clothing (or lack thereof)

What was I thinking? I just noticed the muscles and big boots, so common for the times.

Oh Marc, clomping around in 'clodhoppers' must have built your muscle mass!

Enjoy your weekend!

Re: I didn't notice the clothing (or lack thereof)

Oh Kathy. You are too kind. Having a lot of muscles isn't so good for climbing that I love so much. Wiry people do a lot better. Yes, in the old times, being bare out there wasn't as much of a taboo as it is now. We have become much more conservative.
Have a great Labor Day Weekend.
Marc

Re: Rad dude!

How far up did you actually go?

Re: Rad dude!

Went to the same level as the 2nd floor then down climbed the whole thing. Taking a shortcut to my next class is a "Tongue In Cheek" kind of thing. The banister for the second floor was a bit too far to safely reach. I did climb to the second and third floors of other buildings though.

Re: Rad dude!

If my school had two levels I'd be taking shortcuts all the time.

Re: Rad dude!

When you enter a university, there's a pretty good chance that you get several levels.

Nowadays...

You'd probably get arrested for endangering yourself. This summer, I was at the pool with my son and was about to jump off the diving board with him. The lifeguard said I couldn't. I asked if I could get in the water and let him jump to me. No. When I said we used to do that stuff in the same pool all the time as kids, he said he could ask the manager. I said not to bother. Poor kid, stuck with enforcing stupid rules that have sanitized childhood.

Re: Nowadays...

Well, even then I was warned by the campus police repeatedly though I was never arrested. One of the cops was a friend of mine and they were used to seeing me climb on different buildings. Nowadays, there is so much fear of getting sued the regulations have become suffocating.

Re: Nice....

Wow, Thanks, R. I didn't think you were old enough to remember the 1972 GPIW's catalog. I used to go buy all my gear from the man himself right out of the bins full of pins.

Re: cupped hands?

Thanks Radek,
Cupped hands? I guess I needed to generate suction to stay on or my body would have barn-doored. Just kidding about the suction thing, but it was easy to barn-door on this crack. It's about a rattly fist size. But, my fists are bigger now and it's safer to just jam it.

Re: cupped hands?

Correction; I remember now.
Yes, it is cupped hand size, if you have fat hands. I was wrong about the rattly fist. It's tight fist. In fact I may even have photos of me jamming it with my fists. There is concrete inside that makes the crack shallow-very scary for jamming.
