The registerA pretty lame summit, isn't it?
I noticed you said you couldn't find the register I placed. Well, I put it in the crotch of those two tightly-spaced trees seen between you two. It was placed about 6 feet off the deck. But I suppose the trees may have swayed in the wind, thus dislodging it. It's no big deal. It was a lame-o film canister register with a scrap of paper in it.

Re: The registerWe looked all over for the register you placed but couldn't find it. It was nice to get this one out of the way and it surprised us that it took so long to do it. Of course, it was fun to have Eric and Ken along. I did place a new register but no telling how long it will last up there.

No register for me, today, either. But I think the minimum 4-5' deep snowpack at the summit probably had something to do with it. ;-)

The registerDean, the register you left is still there as of 7/4/11, safely ensconced in that perfect spot where you left it, though few have signed it.
About a foot of snow is still on Ten-Four Mountain at this late date, though there are patches of bare ground, too. I was concerned with bypassing 4228 on snow without an ice axe, since I inadvertently left mine with my bike, but it was no problem.
