I met an (over-?)optimistic guide who said it wasn't that hard to climb Great Trango on one of the alpine routes. He was trying to convince me to try next year.
Excellent page, Corax. I have also seen the National Geographic special on climbing the Great Trango Tower. It featured Alex Lowe on one of his last mountain climbs. Very inspiring.
Superb page. The "mountain of mountains", if I can steal a Messner phrase and shift the geography a few miles!
By the way, check out this site for some super photos of the region. Compare that B&W to besucher01's color shot on your page, both the stuff of dreams.
I saw this on the What's New page and thought, "Well, this one better be good and not a joke." What a page. Arguably one of the best on the site, great info and links. You must have worked on this for days. You are the man. I now know how to tip correctly in Pakistan!

I personally don't like the way the slides came out after scanning and hope someone else will submit some good photos.

Untitled CommentThanks corax , just a few days ago I was searching and thinking how such a big site does not have a page about Trango Tower.
Now we have one - Thanks for providing external links.
