Left marion mountain trailhead from the closed gate at 6:56 am. took the marion ridge trail to the the summit. I lost the trail in numerous places due to spaced out blazes and the lack of snow track the higher I got on the mountain. At the last cmping area clearing I took a bearing and came out on the flanks of Folly Mountain and just traversed over to the San Jacinto summit at 1:00pm. It only took me three hours to back track to the trailhead. Beautiful views into the Palm Spring Valley and over to the San Bernardino Range. Good luck following my tracks. If planning a day hike from here get the early start it makes for a long day (9hrs for me). See yah soon.
