Expect a lot of road work during the summer months

I missed out on this location last year when I did the highpoints in Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska when I saw a post about road repair on the route up there. I took a chance this July and drove up from Oklahoma. I ran into multiple construction projects in Nebraska, and South Dakota which added a lot of time to the trip up and back. They are also working on 140th Ave SW when you turn off Highway 85 out of Amidon. The trail up to the summit was easy to follow and the view was very nice.
