Hiked over the dunes with my kids. The white sand may have looked like snow, but the June sun kept everything nice and warm. Heavy rains in the preceding days had created big shallow ponds that were heated bathwater-warm by the sun. We enjoyed an afternoon of hiking around and wading until approaching thunderstorms drove us out.

I scampered all over the place. Thermometer said it was 66 degrees but on the sand it felt much warmer.

Great FunTook the family here a few years back. It was a lot of fun, and we enjoyed sliding and jumping down the dunes!

Sledding in summerStopped here and used saucers and wax paper to go 'sledding' in the sand with the kids.
