Kessler’s 2nd grade class was going to Yampa River State Park (near Hayden Colorado) to snowshoe and was asking for volunteers, so naturally I said I could go. The kids learned about cold weather safety and animal habitats before donning snowshoes and setting out into the forest. We did a loop hike through the state park and stopped several times to rest and to look at animal tracks before returning for civilization. See the 2010 Trip Log for details.
