cold and windy
New Year's Eve hike when, while clear skies, it was cold and windy. The road to the summit was closed, so I hiked up the .7 miles from the turn off from the main road. Beautiful, yet cold. Nice way to spend New Year's Eve.
A family climb. It was a good summit hike. Not really a great view, but a really nice climb up to the top. A good training hike.

Flagstaff Trail
Not the most interesting hike in Boulder, but still worthwhile. Crossing the road (especially now with the construction) is a real distraction, but its a quick shot up to the top and some nice views along the way.

Nice Jaunt for a Wednesday Afternoon
Went from Chautauqua Park up the Flagstaff Mountain trail. Enjoyable, but crossing the road six times up and six times back kind of detracted from it. Having done Green Mountain just a couple weeks ago, I preferred Green to Flagstaff--it's just as convenient but "feels" a bit more secluded.

Flagstaff Trail
Climbed this with Chris Gerber after starting from Mt. Sanitas--2nd summit of our attempt to climb Sanitarado, a climb of all 6 of the Boulder foothills peaks (mt. Sanitas, Flagstaff Mountain, Green Mountain, Bear Peak, South Boulder Peak, and Eldorado Mountain). We missed the last due to ominous-looking weather, and so dubbed our 17 mile day SanitaSoBo. Great day!
Have done this mountain by itself and in combination with Green Mountain, South Boulder and Bear Peak. Nice trail and good conditioning climb in the winter.
