Day Outing
I left quite early from Mosquito Flat on the Mono Pass trail and avoided the army of fisherman on the way up. From Mono pass I followed a faint trail straight up the side of the mostly crushed gravel, changing to scree then well anchored boulders to the needles just south of the true summit (whoops!). After some correction I was satisfied that I reached the summit.
