Down Quilt
The venerable Arc Alpinist Down Quilt could very well become the most used piece of equipment in your back country arsenal.
It is roomy enough for 4 season layering, yet the unique adjustability of the quilt concept makes it ideal for use in the heat of summer. The trick to this versatility is the open bottom outfitted with two lengths of ultralight webbing which secures the quilt around you and your pad. Lightweight 3/4" center release buckles infinitely adjust the girth so you can adapt the Arc Alpinist to a wide range of temperatures.
The 20 Fahrenheit rating of the Arc Alpinist is achieved thru 2.5" of baffled construction, generously filled with the highest quality 800+ down.
The Arc concept is hood less, but a roomy cut on the Arc Alpinist enables you to curl up inside on nippy nights. These bags are designed to make use of the many layers of additional headwear one usually has, or for the cold end one of our Down Balacavas.

Perfect for 3 season use in the sierraSo far I have used it about 7-8 nights and have been very happy with it. Coldest I have used it was about 30 degrees and it kept me quite warm. I did sleep outside with it one time and could feel a breeze coming in on occasion, but it has works great in a tent or a bivy. (my intended use)
Stuffs down very small, sack I am using is about 6x12 (doesn't come with a stuff sack) and is quite light, mine is about 21.5 oz
Nunatak is a great company to deal with, and will pretty much make this to your exact specs. I purchased a medium but had them add 5" to its length.
Overall I am very happy with the purchase
