Did this fun little hike twice, second time spent the night on the summit with the noisiest snorer in the entire world.

Nice hike. Beautiful day, temps in the high 50's. Missed the normal trail that leads to the NW summit and then over to the true summit, so ended up going around to the east and up from the NE scrambling up a 25-35 degree snow and rock face. Actually more fun that way, although it added around a half mile to the hike. Met 3 nice ladies on the summit who were celebrating a birthday, so got to sing the birthday song while wearing a sponge bob party hat! It was so nice on the summit that I stayed over an hour up there. Descended the normal trail, which has a cool view of the main summit from the NW. Up in 1:40, down in an hour. Recommended with enthusiasm.
Route Climbed: the twins trail Date Climbed: june 18th 2005.
It was my second attempt within the previous two weeks. I first went to climb the mountain on june 5th but I was turned back by to much snow. I came back armed with snow shoes. and possibly a little more initiative. I was rewarded with a snow crowned summit and beautiful inclement views of waldo lake and the three sisters. I will have to come back and ski this one some time. I finished off a great day with a mountain bike ride around the south end of waldo lake to the south waldo shelter.

Got an early morning start, for this quiuck easy hike. Decent views from Jefferson to Thielsen. I followed this one with Maiden peak, which had simiilar, but more expansive views, and I could see as far as McLoughlin. Didn't see another person on either peak.

The TwinsNice hike with the dogs. Great views from the top. The wind was icy, but our bones warmed right up in the sunny meadow bowl. No bugs.
