2006 minus 1969 makes 37 years so far since this shot. April, I do think he no longer is jumping crevasses in this manner.

Re: fun shot....It was neat to spend most of a week with the guy. I learned a lot. Jim came up to Muir and entertained our group with the story of the 63 Everest climb. Of course, this was in 1969 so it was still pretty fresh and awe inspiring.

Re: fun shot....very cool..read Jim's book, he signed it for me at a Banff event as I recall...I remember liking it a lot, but read it quite a while back...so many folks would not realize that Jim was part of the orgin of REI....cheers
