A scene on Goldberg

A scene on Goldberg

Goldberg, 1101 m, is a hamlet above Gail/Zilja valley, where you start the walk-up on Jauken. A few houses here enjoy this interesting view on Carnic Alps. June 30th, 2012.

Re: A monument?

Hi Roberto!

Thanks for stopping by and voting on my recent contributions! Well, yesterday I did some sweatening. It was over 30 degrees in valleys and I was on Trogkofel at around 11 a.m. So today I stayed at home - looking forward to see Italy taking the football championship ;)

Cheers!

Re: )O:

Ha, ha! Blue Mozzarellas! No, Italy did it great until finals. I enjoyed watching occasionally Barcelona and their way of playing, but when you smashed Germany (now Gangolf will chime in) I hoped to see Spain defeated. Still, they deserved the championship and Italy has to wait for another opportunity.

Hm? And what Sarah knows about football? Is this game played in US at all ;)

Re: )O:

Hahaha, Vid. Yes, most "FOOTball" fans in the US watch the game where only one man on each team ever actually touches the ball with his foot! However, also like a lot of people in the US, I started playing the sport when I was 6 years old (my entire family played soccer!) and only quit when injuries forced me to at age 30. I admit I do not keep up with the teams - I am not a fan of any club - but I really love to watch a good game of soccer. (Well, and ice hockey, too!)

PS: My condolences, Roberto...$*@% Spaniards!

Re: )O:

Wow! You're a rare gem, Sarah! Then may be you are aware who got the Stanley cup this year? A guy, named Anze Kopitar, playing for Kings, is showing the trophy these days in the village where he was born, some 30 km from my Kranj ;)

Re: )O:

Vid, with a salary of over US $6 MILLION, I hope young Mr. Anze Kopitar is the one hosting the village party! -Sarah
