ActuallyIt's on the plateau, but quite close to the top really! The summit was shrouded in mist, the time we were there.

Thank You!Impressive collection of photos. Sometime I'll have to incorporate these into the main page. Thanks so much for adding them all, it really helped give a more complete picture of this peak. I would love to get a route description, for my own edification as much as to improve the page. I've toyed with the idea of traversing over from east to west....

Re: Thank You!Cheers, I'm glad you like them. I don't have any route description literature to hand, as it's all back in the UK. We got the idea from a book named something like "Classic walks, Scrambles and easy climbs of Norway" Can't remember the exact title. It has 3 authors. The Jiehkkevarri route was actually described from the West, with a shorter but steeper ascent. I can't remember why we did it from the east, but I would recommended it. The glacier is very easy. The ridge is the same as described in that book and also very easy. Maybe with more snow it would be more of a technical outing. Otherwise it's loose and easy scrambling, with the odd move or short section of UK Diff.
