Tried the bushwhack route from the SW side of the lake but turned around in very steep dirt and sparse vegetation. Late in the day so we turned around, but the next saddle closer to Abiel may go... we did not try it. See map:

Trifecta
Started out at the Mirror Lake trailhead and did Tinkham (east), Tinkham (west), Abiel, and Silver on a beautiful Saturday morning. I lost the trail a couple times but found it again easily. Silver had the best summit view IMO. Gorgeous day, and an awesome loop! I'd do it again!

Don't believe the hype. This was easy. There's an ammo box register on top. Did this as part of a "Silver-Abiel-Tinkham West-Tinkham East" circuit.

Hard to find
The summit was elusive in the fog. We had trouble finding the connecting ridge, having to circle the intermediate hump from both sides before we found it.

First Lead
I did this as my first trip as a mountaineers scramble leader. Doing just Abiel made for a very laid back day.

Abiel
Did Abiel and Silver and skipped on Tinkham since I already did it in August. See trip report.

Abiel, Silver, Tinkham
Did Abiel and Silver with two good friends. There was some new snow and ice here and there. I then got to within perhaps 20 feet of the summit of Tinkham before sheets of down-sloping ice turned me around.

Peak Trifecta! (Sort Of)
With Abiel Peak located so close to Silver Peak and Tinkham Peak, it was decided to visit all three peaks. We were successful with reaching the Abiel and Silver summits, but had to turn around just short of the Tinkham summit due to icy conditions. The weather was very foggy and cloudy, but the route was easy to follow. Many paths leading in many directions between these peaks, but essentially they all intersect at one point or another.

AbielFrom Windy Pass via the PCT. Of Silver, Tinkham and Abiel, I thought this was the toughest scramble of the three.

Scrambled with SilverDidn't know there was a trail. Pretty much scrambled the east ridge after coming down from Silver

Tinkham and AbielA bit icy lower down. Had seen Abiel for years from Lake Annette. Finally good to do it.
