Not an ad, just an advice :)You should try Arcsoft Panorama Maker.
It is just perfect. Only a few clicks and the perfect panorama is ready.
I have also tried PS to assemble panos but it turned out to be a piece of sh#t :)
Also there are a few things to be kept in mind when taking photos for a pano - there is a very good article here in SP by Gangolf.

Remarkable SoftwareI just downloaded a free trial of Arcsoft Panorama Maker 4.0. I have tried more than four other programs and this is the best. Thanks for the tip.
