Re: SummitIt's actually a big man-made lookout point. They claim that it's the second most visited place on earth (Niagara Falls being the first..go figure!) and it has the most beautiful views of Mt. Blanc.

Re: SummitThats too bad that they put something like that on a mountain top. Even if it affords great views it kinda takes away from a mountains stature (in my opinion). I would liken it to the auto road up Mt. Washington. It just feels wrong to me when you spend a day rock climbing on Pinnacle and then make your way up to the summit only to see tourists near their cars wearing cardigans and sneakers!

Re: SummitI agree with you completely, it spoils the mountain. Oh, and I don't think that people in cardigans should be allowed anywhere for that matter :-)
